Critical Commentary

Kaiterra is an air quality monitoring company that sells indoor air quality monitors for homes (Laser Eggs), buildings (SenseEdge) for commercial purposes, and outdoor AQM machines for research. It was founded by Liam Bates and Jessica Lam in Beijing in 2014 to create a space for affordable, accurate, and reliable air quality monitors, one of the first in the world to do so. Its India CEO is Nita Soans. In India, Kaiterra has partnered with UChicago's EPIC and HarvardU's EPoD programmes to create a dense network of low-cost sensors to complement ground-based monitoring.
